Sibelle super yacht
Heesen Yachts is a well known Dutch shipyard building refined superyachts known for their exceptional performance, cutting-edge technology & timeless beauty.
Steketee Design was asked for the 3D modeling of the exterior of a 50 mtr yacht that was launched and christened M/Y Sibelle. The unique design with its so called plump bow was done by Omega Architects and 3D modeled in Catia V5 by Steketee Design for Heesen Yachts.

Based on the design and layout of Omega Architects, a reknown Dutch super yacht designer, we completely 3D modelled the exterior of this yacht with Catia V5. Heesen uses a standard and systematically 3D CAD modelling method were orientation and location play a major role. To let workers and 3D modelers be on the same page and not get lost in space with such a huge and complex machine.
generative design
3D modelling a 50 metre long super yacht with all its features and geometrical relations is quite a challenge. Especially while its captured on a , relatively small, computer screen. Fully done with generative design methods, we were able to implement changes and updates from styling model till the final trims.
